Discovering freeform sculptures with paper folding workshops

At these popular, colourful creative paper sculpture events, attendees learn a set of simple folding techniques before developing their own, more complex, surprising sculptures.
 

Evening classes provide intensive tuition in folding techniques for design professionals, and focus on the innate sculptural qualities of paper. Through a strictly hands-on approach of practice, experimentation, and refinement, attendees produce surprising, and often beautiful sculptures.

Beep Studio also runs large scale paper folding events for groups of up to 60 attendees at Clerkenwell Design Week, in collaboration with 'Drawing at Work'. The events are hugely popular, and sell out within a matter of days. 

Over the course of an evening, attendees are guided through simple folding techniques, and the controlled, zen-like art of paper folding evolves into a riot of exuberant colour, pattern, and smiles.
