Creekmouth Kinetic Art

The area is defined by the themes of Ecology, Industry and People, as identified by Beep's research and analysis document.

This kinetic installation is one of a series of wind sculptures proposed by Beep Studio for the Creekmouth Heritage area of Dagenham Riverside.

The concept refers to the large surrounding bird population, with wingforms and colours relating to specific migrant species. Since the surrounding landscape is flat and marshy, the sculptures are raised in the air for maximum impact - and use as way finding landmarks.

The sculptures enhance existing spaces and new developments in the area, and encourage residents to lift their eyes skyward.
