In tandem with architecture projects, Beep uses sculpture as a means of exploring pure forms in order to record - and to stimulate - ideas.

Sculptural exploration on the Isle of Portland
Transferring 2D 'cartoon' onto stone slab
The sculptures form part of an ongoing research project exploring the tension between rigid geometry and free flowing forms.
All the pieces were hand carved on the Isle of Portland at the Portland Sculpture and Quarry Trust. The material of Portland Stone was chosen for its qualities of crisp detail, light and shade. The sculptures are in part inspired by carved arabic plasterwork - the 'Naqsh'. Similarities can be found with the studio's sculptures in paper.
