The Big Draw
Engaging, creative drawing events for a broad public audience
Campaign video for The Big Draw.
The Big Draw is the UK's leading drawing festival, and Beep Studio has enjoyed devising and running drawing events for over ten years.
Through these workshops, the Studio has connected with a wide audience of all ages at locations including Somerset House, Spitalfields Market, and the Victoria and Albert Museum.
Most recently, over 60 people of all ages picked up their pens and drew at the Studio's workshop at Sir John Soane's Museum. Visitors chose from a set of creative drawing activities for all levels and abilities, and soon young children, parents, grandparents, students and professional illustrators were all happily doodling away together. Some wonderful drawings emerged - see below for a selection of favourites.

At the V&A, Studio Director Peter Ayres presented the diagramming masterclass 'Speaking in Pictures', in association with the exhibition ‘Heatherwick Studio: Designing the Extraordinary’. Participants extracted stories (both real and imagined) from otherwise cryptic exhibits.

The Studio's relationship with The Big Draw began in 2006 with ‘Amazing Spaces’ at Somerset House, where the Studio asked participants to imagine Thames-side buildings of a distant future.
